TPA: Working in Partnership with the Utilities Sector

We listen to what our customers are saying

At TPA we believe the underlying reason for our continued success is that we listen carefully to the needs of our clients and respond by making our customer service even better. Due to the incredibly diverse and ever shifting nature of the work involved in the utilities sector, our business strategy has always been to offer support by consistently investing in industry led products, increasing product capacity and implementing strategic depot locations.

No project is too big or too small

Projects involving water, gas and electric suppliers range from small scale urban or domestic schemes, through to huge infrastructure projects such as those found on HS2 and the water industry’s AMP7 and AMP8 projects. TPA’s ability to help contactors achieve their goals was clearly demonstrated when a Waste Water Recycling Centre (WRC) for Anglian Water was completed two months ahead of schedule thanks to access solutions provided by TPA’s Portable Roadways. It is this consistently high level of service that has helped TPA secure ongoing contracts with some of the UK’s largest energy networks and utilities contractors.

TPA hits the temporary road running…

We understand the importance of delivering projects that exceed our clients' expectations. As one of the first contractors on site we make sure that your utilities project will get off to the perfect start. Getting things right at the planning stage is a major step in ensuring the ultimate success of a project: To help achieve this, TPA has introduced the SitePlotter App

SitePlotter: ‘Site Survey Made Simple’

SitePlotter is a bespoke App envisioned by TPA which presents the client with greater clarity, communication and consistency when planning a temporary roadway installation. Described as ‘Site Survey Made Simple’, the app uses imagery from Google Earth to determine the most appropriate Temporary Roadway, formulating a layout plan and accurately calculating panel quantities. The app even recommends a final route to site, arming the client with detailed information which not only increases efficiency, but provides advance information; especially useful for utilities contractors where the working area can be strictly defined and projects time sensitive.

TPA’s Carbon Calculator

The UK government has set a target to significantly reduce UK greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and we realise that those working in the utilities sector are increasingly aware of their carbon emissions and the impact their operations and activities can ultimately have on the environment. TPA’s Carbon Calculator helps utility, construction and civils companies to calculate the carbon savings achieved when using Aluminium Trackway or Plastic Roadways as opposed to aggregate or stone.

The Carbon Calculator is part of TPA’s commitment to minimising environmental impact, helping utility companies and other contractors make more informed, eco-conscious decisions in temporary roadway projects, ultimately contributing to a greener future.

If you’d like support from the team on reducing your sites carbon emissions, complete the carbon calculations enquiry form and someone will be in touch.

Client testimonial:

“Site surveys are conducted in an efficient and timely manner, as are the quotes, and contract changes are managed efficiently, with no fuss. Installations are always booked to accommodate our dates and are flexible to accommodate our constraints/late changes, plus the teams on site are very professional, helpful and adaptable.” - Anglian Water
