TPA help a primary school with an additional classroom

Frequent TPA customer, and Britain’s largest independent manufacturer and hirer of portable and modular accommodation, Wernick, has just completed its most recent project with our portable roadway panels.

Our 3m-wide heavy duty aluminium panels were used to cover 367m2 of a tarmac playground at Rockbeare Church of England primary school in Exeter, Devon, while a new modular classroom was installed on site.

The classroom, comprising three 3m x 10m modules, was lifted into place over a very hot two weeks in August by a 60 tonne crane that required the lightweight but robust panels to provide access and a turning pad, to prevent damaging the playground.

installation of the panels was undertaken by a two man crew from TPA in only a couple of hours, and the same time for disassembling.

Paul Jones, contracts manager for Wernick (Kenfig Buildings said: “We use TPA for many of our projects, our biggest project with them to date would have been for 1,300m2 over a four-month period. We would most definitely use them again.”

TPA’s heavy duty aluminum panels have been designed to meet demanding uses in the most challenging environments, providing a 3m or 4m wide load bearing temporary access road for all ground conditions.
